11 year-old Saoirse Ruane from Kiltullagh and Andy Friend, Connacht Rugby’s Director of Rugby were grand marshal’s who led the Galway City St Patrick’s Day Parade on an open top double decker bus from University of Galway to Eyre Square. Saoirse, who has helped to collect millions of euro for cancer research since she appeared on the Late Late Toy Show in 2020, is pictured with Andy, her parents Roseanna and Ollie, who holding her sister Farrah Rose, on board the bus before the start of the parade. They were also joined by Mayor of Galway, Cllr Clodagh Higgins.
