Nurses who commenced training in the Regional Hospital Galway on May the 5th, 1967, revisited UHG to celebrate the occasion of their 50th anniversary.
The celebrations commenced with a meeting in the former Nurses’ Home, followed by mass in the Hospital Oratory. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Pat O’Donohue, son of class member Francie.
Five deceased members were remembered and Elaine Carty who is on the staff of UCHG represented her late mother, Nora Furey.
A most enjoyable evening followed with dinner in the Ardilaun Hotel.
Pictured at the reunion were Mary Hawkins Duffy, Salthill, Frances Mulrooney O'Donohue, Lisdoonvarna, Noreen Francis McNamara, Athenry, Theresa Reddington Hannon, Galway city, and Marie Dowling Sheehan, Annaghdown.
