Caption: Corrib Park was in its infancy when the older photo was taken in 1977 - and the most obvious difference between it and the scene today, apart from the growth of the trees, is a bus shelter that was constructed by local residents to shelter them from the elements. A subscription of 75p was collected from each household to fund the venture and labour was provided by local volunteers.
