Building the dome.
A replica of the dome of Galway Cathedral built with cardboard boxes on Saturday was Olivier Grossetête’s 'The People Build' architectural project at Eyre Square as part of Galway International Arts Festival. The following day the heavy rainfall and wind did not deter children, and some adults, demolishing the dome. The wet weather caused the dome to partially collapse. Following it's demolition the cardboard was taken away by Walsh Waste for recycling.
