Nurses 50th anniversary reunion May 2017

Nurses who commenced training in the Regional Hospital Galway on May the 5th, 1967, revisited UHG to celebrate the occasion of their 50th anniversary.<br />
The celebrations commenced with a meeting in the former Nurses’ Home, followed by mass in the Hospital Oratory. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Pat O’Donohue, son of class member Francie.<br />
Five deceased members were remembered and Elaine Carty who is on the staff of UCHG represented her late mother, Nora Furey.<br />
A most enjoyable evening followed with dinner in the Ardilaun Hotel.<br />
Pictured at the reunion were Mary Hawkins Duffy, Salthill, Frances Mulrooney O'Donohue, Lisdoonvarna, Noreen Francis McNamara, Athenry, Theresa Reddington Hannon, Galway city, and Marie Dowling Sheehan, Annaghdown.
