Twenty three Junior Infant pupils, including three sets of twins, began school in Scoil Áine Naofa, Loch Cútra this week. The principal, Ms. Lorraine Power is delighted to welcome such a large group of infants to the school. Scoil Áine Naofa is a four mainstream class teacher country school with one hundred pupils in total enrolled this year and this is the largest intake of Junior Infants the school has ever had. The school are also celebrating recent sporting achievements this year winning the Cumann na mBunscol 7 a side, Roinn M, tournament and the Gort Garda NS Hurling Tournament. A Presentation of medals was held on Saturday August 31st in Whelan’s of Shanaglish.
