An exhibition of 21 currach sculptures, which opened on Culture Night, are on display in the Quadrangle at NUI Galway. The exhibition of the bespoke painted currachs, commissioned to celebrate 21 years of Árus Éanna, the Inis Óirr Arts Centre on The Aran Islands, was hosted by NUI Galway. Pictured with some of the sculptures are, from left: Ciarán Ó hOgartaigh, President of NUI Galway, and artists Dara Mc Gee, Dolores Lyne, John Behan, Jay Murphy, Jennifer Cunningham, Tim Acheson, Seán Ó Flaithearta and his son Coil and Deirdre McKenna.
