Print Quality

The quality symbols provide an approximate guide to how well the image will scale to each available print size.

They are designed to help you decide if the quality of the print at the desired size will be suitable for your purposes.

Note that they are NOT an indication of the quality of the photograph itself, e.g. its composition, exposure, focus or any other subjective qualities.

Good quality - The printed image will preserve the quality of the original image as much as possible, as would be desirable for prints which will normally be viewed close up.
Acceptable quality - The printed image will be acceptable for most purposes, especially if it will normally be viewed from a distance, as it is likely to be slightly fuzzy and/or pixellated (mosaic effect).
Poor quality - Be aware that you should expect the printed image to be noticeably fuzzy and/or pixellated (mosaic effect). This may still be suitable if you must have the print, regardless of image quality.
