Pictured at the launch of Positive Mental Health Pancake Tuesday fundraiser were Joe Flaherty, Head Chef at Brasserie on the Corner, Eglinton Street, Violet Gavin, Chairperson and founder of Positive Mental Health, and Presentation Secondary School Transition Year students Enricka Poskaite, Malanie Griffin and Rachel Burke.<br /> Positive Mental Health Pancake Tuesday event launch took place earlier in the week in the delightful Brasserie on the Corner, Eglinton Street.<br /> Event launch was attended by Charity Chairperson, Violet Gavin, a retired career guidance teacher, who set up Positive Mental Health (PMH) in 2005, Seamus McGuinness, transition year co-ordinator at the Presentation Secondary School in Galway City, Transition year students from the Presentation Secondary School, Management & Staff from The Brasserie and volunteers and friends of Positive Mental Health. <br /> Positive Mental Health was set up to turn the tide of negativity surrounding mental illness & replace it with positive attitudes. Positive Mental Health has been delivering a programme of positive mental and emotional health to transition year students in secondary schools in Galway City & County for the past ten and a half years. <br /> Fundraising is vital to the continuation of this programme, so we would warmly invite you to support Galway charity, Positive Mental Health on Shrove Tuesday 9th of February from 11am to 2pm at the atmospheric Brasserie on the Corner, Eglinton Street, for some delicious pancakes in a mouthwatering selection of various toppings". <br /> Violet Gavin, Chairperson and founder of Positive Mental Health, and John Walsh, St. Augustine Street, at the launch of Positive Mental Health Pancake Tuesday fundraiser at Brasserie on the Corner, Eglinton Street.
